Mary Arevalo started her career as an advertising copywriter in NYC at BBDO Worldwide. September 11, 2001 changed her life and she decided she wanted to create more happiness and peace in the world. Not sure how, a colleague suggested teaching and something clicked. She went on to get her Masters degree in Education of Students with Learning Disabilities (MA) from Columbia University’s Teachers College and worked as an educator in NYC for 11 years.
Seeing the stress kids and teachers had in the school system she decided to train to become a Brain Education Leader. She taught students from grades 5-12 mindful movement, meditation, and brain healing. This experience ignited Mary’s passion for healing through movement. She continued her training as a Brain Management leader, healer and Master Yoga/Tai Chi instructor. At first she was a volunteer teacher and during that time she realized she wanted to heal people for a living.
Mary returned to her hometown of Crystal Lake to be closer to her family and pursue her dream of owning her own healing fitness center. She consolidated all her life savings and even retirement money to put towards her healing cause. Finally, she started her own business. Now she can heal and empower people to heal themselves.
Mary has a brain-oriented holistic approach to health and her teaching. Originating from Eastern Asian healing and energy philosophies.
